AI cloud startup Firebird.ai has launched its Armenian AI data center, the largest such facility in the Caucasus region.
In a statement, the company said the facility is expected to have 300MW of total capacity by the end of 2027. Built on the Nvidia DSX platform, the data center will be powered by more than 70,000 Nvidia Rubin and Blackwell GPUs.

Previous announcements from the company stated that the data center, located in Hrazdan, 45 kilometres (28 miles) northeast of the Armenian capital Yerevan, would total 100MW.
Funded via a $500 million public-private partnership with the Armenian government, Nvidia and Dell Technologies are also collaborating with the cloud startup on the facility, with Firebird stating that Nvidia “intends to invest in the company.” Fellow AI cloud provider CoreWeave invested in Firebird earlier this year.
