The body of a 32-year-old woman, reported missing, was found on the sand dune of a lake at Sirukalapur village in Kanakiliyanallur police station limits in the district on Wednesday.Police identified the deceased as N. Senthamizhselvi of Sirukalapur. A woman missing case was registered after she failed to return home. A search was conducted and her body was found on the sand dune of a lake with her hands and legs tied. Police conducted inquiries at the spot.The body was shifted to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital at Tiruchi for post-mortem. Kanakiliyanallur police have registered a case of murder.
