Erwin Moses is reunited with Pepper after the Fox Terrier survived 11 days on Table Mountain.
After an 11-day ordeal, beloved Fox Terrier, Pepper, was finally found on Table Mountain, thanks to the relentless efforts of his owner and hundreds of volunteers.
Pepper sparked an extraordinary community search when he vanished near Kasteelspoort Ravine after being startled by other dogs along the Pipe Track on June 14.
His owner, Stellenbosch resident Erwin Moses, immediately began searching the mountain. He would not stop for eleven days.
Pepper was a constant companion who had helped Moses through the death of his wife the previous year, said Nicole Clarence, Moses's daughter. “We couldn’t lose him (the dog) too,” she added.
