The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has exposed and detained an agent of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) who was gathering intelligence on the locations of Ukraine's Defense Forces in Odesa and the Odesa region on behalf of Russia.

That is according to the SBU press service, Ukrinform reports.

The investigation established that the suspect is a local resident who came to the attention of the FSB through his own posts on Telegram channels expressing support for the Kremlin regime and Russian armed groups.

Investigators documented that the agent monitored the locations of Ukrainian forces' facilities that the Russian military intended to target in combined missile and drone strikes.

According to the SBU, Russia was particularly interested in the positions of Ukraine's air defense systems and the locations of Armed Forces logistics warehouses in the country's south.
