Raphinha’s 2026 World Cup just hit a wall. The Barcelona winger suffered a hamstring injury during Brazil’s group-stage match against Haiti on June 19, and now he’s confirmed to miss Brazil’s upcoming clash with Norway.
The injury, diagnosed as a muscle fiber tear in his right thigh, forced him off the pitch in the 40th minute of what ended up being a comfortable 3-0 victory over Haiti.
What we know about the injury timeline
The fiber tear is serious enough to rule Raphinha out of Brazil’s final group match against Scotland in addition to the Norway game. He’s also expected to miss the round-of-32 fixture.
The earliest realistic return date would be a potential round-of-16 match on or after July 5.
