Raphinha’s World Cup night ended before halftime. The Barcelona winger was forced off in the 40th minute of Brazil’s Group C match against Haiti on June 19, suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury. Brazil was leading 2-0 at the time, with Matheus Cunha responsible for both goals.
A recurring nightmare for club and country
Back on March 27, Raphinha went down with a right hamstring injury during a friendly against France. That one cost him roughly five weeks on the sideline. During that absence, Barcelona had to navigate Champions League matches against Atletico Madrid without one of their most dynamic attacking threats.
Raphinha has dealt with multiple lower-body muscle injuries throughout the 2025/26 season. The hamstring issues have been the most persistent and damaging of the lot.
No official word has been released on the severity of this latest setback or the expected recovery timeline.
