Karnataka has recorded 116 mm of rainfall as against the normal 199 mm during June. According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre’s (KSNDMC) June rainfall pattern, there has been a departure of -42%.India Meteorological Department (IMD) scientist C.S. Patil said the monsoonis expected to revive this week.Data for June 2026 reveals that south-interior Karnataka has received 62 mm as against the normal 66 mm, a departure of -5%, while north-interior Karnataka received 74 mm against 103 mm, a departure of -28%. Malnad and the coastal regions have recorded 152 mm and 420mm, respectively, as against the normal 363 mm and 832 mm, reflecting departures of -58% and -42%.During June, six taluks received large excess rainfall, while 24 and 59 taluks recorded excess and normal rainfall, respectively.
