The body of a man was found in the Bhima near the Katti Sangavi bridge in Jewargi taluk of Kalaburagi district on Tuesday.According to the police, residents noticed the body floating in the river and alerted the authorities.Police personnel from the Jewargi and Farhatabad police stations reached the spot and retrieved the body.The identity of the deceased is yet to be established. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.The police, who have registered a case, have initiated investigation to ascertain the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.They have appealed to the public to share any information that can help identify the deceased by contacting the nearest police station.
