The St. Mary's Old Girls Association (SMOGA) presented $70,000 to St. Mary's Primary School in Savalalo on Tuesday to support the construction of the school's new two-storey building.
The former students reaffirmed their commitment to preserving the school's legacy and investing in future generations.
The handover ceremony was attended by members of the SMOGA Council, the school principal and staff, senior students, and the Missionary Sisters of the Society of Mary (SMSM).
Chair of the Liturgy Committee Fuatino Lucia Kasiano emphasised the close relationship between the SMOGA and the two SMSM schools.
"What is good for St. Mary's College in Vaimoso is also good for St. Mary's Primary School in Savalalo," she said, noting that both schools share the same heritage, values and commitment to educating future generations.
