MANILA, Philippines — The Misamis Occidental-based cop caught in a now-viral video allegedly brandishing his gun during an argument said he regretted the incident as he faced the National Police Commission (Napolcom) on Monday.

Napolcom Commissioner Rafael Calinisan identified the officer as Police Corporal Henry Boquida Jr., who allegedly pointed his gun at a civilian in Barangay Antipolo, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte, last week.

“I regret the shortcoming I had,” Boquida said in Filipino in a press briefing after meeting with Calinisan at the Napolcom head office in Quezon City.
