AI-assisted and AI-native customers now make up approximately 40% of all new sign-ups on Stripe. To put that in perspective, less than 18 months ago, AI was a growth category for the company. Now it’s closer to being the growth category.
The numbers behind the surge
And they’re not just signing up. They’re making money faster. AI companies on Stripe are hitting revenue milestones 30% faster than comparable cohorts from 2023.
The number of solopreneurs earning $10 million or more has nearly tripled since 2023, according to Stripe’s own data. One person, running a business, clearing eight figures. AI hasn’t just lowered the barrier to starting a company. It’s lowered the barrier to scaling one.
