Thank you for the support!"‌His decision is the second hammer blow to British hopes in as many days after Emma Raducanu pulled out on Sunday. After reaching the US Open semi final in 2024 and reaching a career high fourth in the world in June 2025, Draper has endured a miserable run of injuries. He has failed to compete at a Grand Slam this year and after reaching the semi finals at Eastbourne last week, there was hopes he could rediscover some of his best form.‌Draper was also set to work with Sir Andy Murray in the coaching box for the first time. The 24-year-old linked up with the former Wimbledon champion for the grass-court season, but has already hinted that he would like that arrangement to continue. He had also made no indication that he was struggling with his fitness, but did comment on the amount of players suffering with injuries down to the workload placed upon them.Article continues belowHe said: "I think the state of men's tennis is pretty worrying right now," the 2024 US Open semi-finalist said."I think the way athletes are getting better and hitting the ball harder and moving better, they need to really take a close look at what we're doing on tour."As well as Draper, the men's singles draw is also missing seven-time major champion Carlos Alcaraz and 2024 semi-finalist Lorenzo Musetti.Choose Daily Mirror as a 'Preferred Source' on Google News for quick access to the news you value.‌Jack DraperWimbledon
