The Proteas Women's netball team were too good for their England counterparts at Ellis Park, and will be hoping to carry that form into next moth's Commonwealth Games.
Fresh from a morale-boosting Test series victory over England earlier this year, the Proteas will step up their Commonwealth Games preparations with a three-match netball series against Uganda before travelling to Glasgow next month.
Netball South Africa confirmed the African champions will host the world number six She Cranes behind closed doors after the two sides assemble in Johannesburg in July, giving head coach Jenny van Dyk's squad their final competitive outing before the Games.
South Africa last came together in February when they edged England in a hard-fought Test series, but Van Dyk believes the Uganda clashes will provide the ideal benchmark ahead of the multi-sport showpiece.
"Preparation is vital if we are to do well at the upcoming Commonwealth Games," Van Dyk said. "The last time the team was together was as early as February this year, and I believe that the warm-up matches against Uganda will really do us good as we prepare ourselves for elite competition."
