Proteas all-rounder Marizanne Kapp has enjoyed a stellar World Cup campaign with bat and ball, but has not been the only match winner for South Africa.

The Proteas Women head into Sunday's decisive ICC Women's T20 World Cup clash against Bangladesh in London knowing victory is essential to keep their semi-final hopes alive, but assistant coach Claire Terblanche believes the Proteas are gathering momentum thanks to different players delivering when it matters most.

The Proteas kept themselves in contention with an emphatic 88-run victory over the Netherlands on Thursday night, where opener Tazmin Brits blasted an unbeaten 114 after Marizanne Kapp had earlier inspired the team's crucial victory over India. For Terblanche, that spread of contributions is one of the biggest positives to emerge from South Africa's campaign.

"I think they are," she said, when asked at a pre-match press conference whether the team's senior players were stepping up. "I think it's different players stepping up during different matches. It just shows to us that there are people within our squad that are coming together quite nicely and performing when we need them to."

The ability to produce a different match-winner every fixture is often the hallmark of teams that challenge for global titles, and it is a trend the Proteas will hope continues should they secure a place in the semi-finals.
