The development works being implemented across the district were reviewed by Tenkasi Lok Sabha MP Rani Srikumar at the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee meeting (DISHA) held here on Saturday.Ms. Srikumar assessed the progress of Central and State schemes in the district. Discussions focused on programmes such as Antyodaya Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakaram, projects undertaken by the Geology and Mining Department and the status of beneficiaries availing other schemes.The meeting further examined the formation of new self-help groups (SHGs) under the Tamil Nadu State Rural and Urban Livelihood Mission, release of funds for the SHGs, bank loan linkage and implementation of community investment fund. Progress made under the Green Tamil Nadu Mission, works being undertaken in Tirunelveli Wildlife Sanctuary and other development works were discussed.The MP instructed the officials to ensure the timely completion of development projects in the district. She reviewed the development works being carried out by the school education department, the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana and the national highways projects under the Tirunelveli- Tenkasi sub division, among others.She also directed the officials to expedite the completion of civic works, including road development, drinking water and electricity-related projects, before December end.Collector Ranjeet Singh, District Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar, District Revenue Officer Jayachandran, MLAs Kalai Kathiravan, E.
