Como 1907 has made an official bid for Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah, putting the newly promoted Serie A club at the front of a growing queue. Inter Milan, the reigning Italian champions, is also tracking the defender as a potential summer target.
Chelsea is reportedly prepared to let Chalobah leave during the summer transfer window. The 26-year-old England international still has two years left on his contract, which runs until June 2028, but that hasn’t stopped the Blues from entertaining offers.
Two Italian suitors, two very different pitches
Como’s initial official bid landed on June 24, 2026. For a club that only recently returned to Serie A, it’s an ambitious play for a Premier League defender with international pedigree.
Inter Milan’s interest adds a completely different dimension. The reigning Serie A champions offer something Como simply cannot match right now: guaranteed Champions League football. Chalobah is reportedly motivated by exactly that prospect.
