The City of Cape Town has a planned power outage in parts of the southern suburbs.
Curro School in Noordwyk has been disconnected from the electricity grid due to over R9,3 million in unpaid bills.
The private school was disconnected on Tuesday during a joint operation involving City Power's Revenue Protection Unit, security teams and the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD).
City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena said the action formed part of an intensified revenue recovery campaign targeting major defaulters across the city.
Curro is among four high-value properties collectively owing the utility R38,1 million, with individual debts ranging between R5 million and R13 million.
