The family of Mr. Jonah Bonet, a vocal political critic popularly known as “Pompo,” has demanded his immediate and unconditional release following his abduction by masked security operatives at his Abuja residence.

In a press statement issued on Friday by the Bonet Avong Family of Matuak, Rimi, Bondon District in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the family cried out over the psychological trauma inflicted on his wife and children, who witnessed the arrest at gunpoint.

According to the family, armed operatives belonging to the security outfit “Operation Fushin Kada” stormed Bonet's home at approximately 8:15 p.m., immediately after his wife opened the gate for his vehicle.
