The management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has disclosed that its Ofatedo College of Law has been shut over the death of a 400-level student of Criminology and Security Studies, Miss Grace Osunlakin.

The Public Relations Officer of the school, Ademola Adesoji, in a statement issued on Thursday, did not mention what led to her death, but stated that the circumstances of he death led to shutting the campus.

He described the student’s death as a deeply painful one to the school and commiserated with the family of the student who reportedly died on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

According to the statement, the decision to close the campus indefinitely was taken after careful consideration of the circumstances surrounding the incident, to allow emotions to settle among students and create room for a comprehensive assessment of healthcare facilities, medical personnel, and water supply systems within the Ifetedo Campus.
