Within the framework of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026) in Gdańsk, Ukrainian state and private energy companies will sign agreements to attract more than €1 billion in financing.

This was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a telethon broadcast, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

He noted that an agreement worth £210 million had already been signed for fuel supplies for Ukrainian nuclear power plants from the British company Urenco.

“Also, today we are signing an agreement worth $300 million for Naftogaz from the U.S. Export-Import Bank, €90 million for Ukrenergo from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In addition, 28 agreements worth over €1 billion are being signed today by our state and private companies,” Shmyhal said.

According to him, this will be a significant result for supporting Ukraine’s energy sector ahead of the winter season.
