A multinational coalition supporting Ukraine’s demining efforts has accumulated 150 million euros in funding, with Lithuania contributing more than half of the total, according to Lithuania’s Ministry of Defence.
The announcement was made Thursday during the 22nd meeting of the Ukraine Demining Coalition, held in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv. The coalition is co-led by Lithuania and Iceland and brought together representatives from 13 countries and six partner organisations.
During the meeting, coalition members formally transferred equipment purchased with this year’s funding, including trucks, Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles and minibuses.
The coalition’s fund has collected approximately 150 million euros during the 2024-26 period, of which 77 million euros has been contributed by Lithuania. Equipment worth 89 million euros has already been purchased and delivered to Ukraine using coalition funds.
The coalition currently includes 23 member countries, five observers and 12 partner organisations.
