Dexter Fowler, who is loving the vibes of Southern France, wishes that MLB had ABS when he was still playing. When it comes to investments, Fowler says his best moves have been investing in himself, from his trainer to his chef. “I was the stock market,” he said.

Hunter Pence, a nerd at heart, spent money from his first paycheck to buy himself a gaming computer to play World of Warcraft. Now, Pence credits his financial team for helping him take care of his money, from investing in a diverse portfolio of stocks to starting businesses and buying real estate.

CC Sabathia remembers being able to take care of his family as soon as he signed his first MLB contract. Sabathia talks about how when he was playing, he focused on baseball and not much else, compared to now, where it’s more common for players to focus on outside businesses and opportunities.

Over in Formula 1, Peter Kenyon, an advisor of Atlassian Williams F1 Racing Team, emphasizes the important of getting the right people on your team to help build your culture. James Vowles, the team principal of Williams, exemplifies that, according to Kenyon.
