A prosecutor in Thessaloniki charged a 29-year-old woman who stabbed her partner with attempted murder and violation of the law on weapons on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old defendant, a Romanian national, was referred to an investigative magistrate to testify and will remain in custody until then.
According to the police, the incident took place in the couple’s mezzanine apartment in Ano Poli at around 10 a.m. when the woman struck the victim with two knives during an argument.
The man was taken to Papanikolaou hospital where he underwent surgery for injuries to his lungs, lower abdomen and hand.
