Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski suggested that Russia may be planning to stage a provocation on its own territory under a foreign flag.
According to Ukrinform, Polish Radio reported that he wrote about this on social media.
According to Sikorski, such actions could be used as a pretext for a new wave of aggression against other states.
The Polish foreign minister made these remarks in response to statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin that Moscow would attack European countries if drones were launched from their territory toward Russia.
“This sounds like an announcement of a provocation. I expect an attack on Russian territory under a false flag, to which Putin will respond,” Sikorski noted.
