Jaw guard: Tottenham defender Djed Spence has been sporting a custom-made protective jaw guard throughout World Cup 2026.
The specialised medical addition is required with the player recovering from a broken jaw.
Injury: The fracture occurred during a Premier League tie between Tottenham and Chelsea in May.
Chelsea striker Liam Delap struck Spence in the face with an elbow during a challenge for a high ball but the injured full-back still completed the full 90 minutes.
First appearance: Spence began wearing the protective piece of equipment five days later against Everton after the seriousness of the injury emerged.
