Djed Spence suffered a serious jaw fracture during a Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea back in May.

The 25-year-old was caught by a wayward elbow from Chelsea striker Liam Delap late in the game.

The full-back showed remarkable resilience by seeing out the remainder of that match despite the injury.

Just five days later, he wore specialist protective headgear to help Spurs clinch a crucial win over Everton, securing their top-flight status in the process.

Medical experts estimate that a broken jaw requires around three months to heal completely.
