In a special intensive ticket-checking drive conducted by the Salem Railway Division, unauthorised passengers who travelled in reserved compartments were asked to deboard on Monday evening (June 22, 2026).The officials conducted the ticket-checking drive on Train no. 13352, Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express, at Salem Junction on Monday. Around 20 ticket-checking staff of the Commercial Department and 20 Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel were involved. More than 100 unauthorised passengers travelling in reserved compartments were deboarded and directed to the general compartments. The ticketless/unauthorized passengers were penalised as per rules.The train was detained at Salem Junction for about 20 minutes. The drive was carried out in the wake of an increasing number of complaints regarding unauthorised passengers travelling in reserved coaches and causing inconvenience to the bonafide passengers with tickets.
