Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced that Tehran has no plans to allow International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspections of its bombed nuclear facilities.

During his weekly press briefing, in response to a question regarding statements by U.S. officials about the initiation of IAEA inspections at Iranian nuclear sites, he stated that “no protocol exists” in this regard and that Iran will continue its cooperation process in accordance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Baghaei also emphasized that, during the recent negotiations in Switzerland, the Iranian delegation held no meetings with Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the IAEA.

These remarks come at a time when U.S. President Donald Trump and his Vice President, JD Vance, had previously announced the commencement of the IAEA inspection process at Iranian nuclear facilities following the recent talks in Switzerland. Iran, however, maintains that no such agreement exists in the manner proclaimed by Washington.

Meanwhile, Trump emphasized the necessity of Iran’s “nuclear honesty” in separate posts on the social media platform Truth Social, claiming that Tehran will agree to extensive inspections to guarantee the transparency of its nuclear program.
