Coronation Street star Aaron McCusker has teased that Eva Price could be the one to take down teacher Megan Walsh as she faces court amid a controversial grooming plot06:27, 23 Jun 2026Updated 06:27, 23 Jun 2026Eva Price looks set to destroy Megan Walsh on Coronation Street. The Rovers Return landlady, who is played by Catherine Tyldesley, returned to the world's longest-running TV soap towards the end of last year and has not been short of drama since. Over the course of several months, Eva has been at loggerheads with her mother-in-law Maggie (Pauline McLynn), who recently admitted that she killed her husband several decades ago and lied about the paternity of their child, but has also had to deal with things after finding out that her stepson Will had been having an illicit relationship with his teacher Megan Walsh. It was heavily implied that Will, a student at Weatherfield High, had been involved with Megan (Beth Nixon) before his sixteenth birthday, and now the whole thing is head to set to trial. Actor Aaron McCusker, who plays Will's dad Ben, has explained just how "difficult" things are for the whole family. He said: "It’s difficult because even at this stage Will still won't admit he’s being groomed. Ben doesn't necessarily blame himself, but he knows he should maybe have seen it coming. He’s trying to be a good dad and focus all his efforts on supporting Will. He worries that the move potentially added to the control that Megan had over Will. "The actor, who is also known for having previously starred as as Jamie Maguire in Shameless, explained that whilst Ben is at a loss with what to make of the whole situation, Eva is the one who seems hellbent on making sure that Megan faces up to her crimes in one way or another."Ben is still potentially not sure exactly what went on, is Ben telling the truth that Megan is innocent? Actually Eva is the one who has really got the bit between her teeth during all of this and is determined to make Megan pay for what she has done."Aaron also explained that in terms of Ben and Eva's relationship, the whole ordeal has actually made then stronger as a couple - even though he won't ever really "forget" his mother' decision to lie about his father. He added: "It's brought them closer. When Ben’s down, she’s the one pulling him up. They are very strong, I think it has given the audience a bit of an illustration of just what a united couple they are. And it has also brought Ben and Maggie a little closer again, though he won't ever forget what she did."Whatever happens with the trial, Aaron has teased that there is plenty more drama on the way after leaving Megan in the hands of the courts. He added: "This is a huge moment for them all but they don’t want Will to feel under any more pressure so they are trying to be very pragmatic about it and accept that it might not go the way they want it to."They feel they have done enough and she has been exposed for the sort of woman she really is but it is all in the hands of the jury and we all know Megan is a master manipulator, let's not forget she has the whole family fooled.Article continues belowCoronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream from 7am on ITV X.* Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
