Zotac quietly unveiled a new fanless desktop computer with an Intel Wildcat Lake processor inside during Computex earlier this month.The ZOTAC ZBOX CI471 nano has a body that looks virtually identical to the ZBOX CI600 nano series that Zotac has been selling for eight years, but this new model is the first to be powered by an Intel Core Series 3 (Wildcat Lake) processor.Zotac ZBOX CI471 nano (via Heise.de)Wildcat Lake chips are based on the same architecture as Intel’s more powerful Panther Lake processors, featuring the latest Intel mobile CPU, iGPU and NPU technologies. But they’re designed to be lower cost, lower-performance alternatives to Panther Lake chips, with fewer CPU and GPU cores, less impressive AI performance, and lower power consumption.Still, with a mix of some Performance and Low-Power Efficiency CPU cores, even the least powerful Wildcat Lake processor should deliver better performance than Intel’s budget Twin Lake processors, which have up to 8 Efficiency cores, but no Performance coresThe ZBOC CI471 nano didn’t earn a mention on Zotac’s Computex 2026 website, but a handful of folks who visited the Zotac booth at Computex did spot the little computer.Newstap snapped a photo of the computer next to some other recent fanless mini PCs from Zotac. And Heise notes that it’s one of two fanless Wildcat Lake systems the company was showing. The other is the ZP-S35W3 mini PC, which is designed for industrial applications.
