Mini PC maker Beelink has announced plans to bring Intel Wildcat Lake chips to at least three new mini PCs. These chips are low-cost, low-power processors designed for laptops and mini PCs. But they should bring a big performance boost when compared with Intel Twin Lake chips.According to Beelink we can expect to see new models in the Beelink EQ Mini, Beelink EQi, and Beelink ME Pro families, each powered by an Intel Core 3 304 processor. That’s the least powerful Wildcat Lake chip, but it should still be faster than the highest-performance Twin Lake or Alder Lake-N chips. That’s because those older chips are based on 12th-gen intel Core architecture and only feature Efficiency CPU cores, while Wildcat Lake chips are based on the same architecture as higher-performance Core Ultra Series 3 “Panther Lake” processors and feature at least one Performance CPU core. The Core 3 304 processor features a single Performance core with support for frequencies up to 4.3 GHz, four Low-Power Efficiency cores, and a single 2.3 GHz GPU core. Other Wildcat Lake chips have 2 Performance cores and dual-core graphics.CPU coresP-Core Max FreqGPU coresGPU Max FreqGPU TOPSNPU TOPSCore 7 3606 (2 x P + 4 x LP-E)4.8 GHz22.6 GHz2117Core 7 3506 (2 x P + 4 x LP-E)4.8 GHz22.6 GHz2117Core 5 3306 (2 x P + 4 x LP-E)4.6 GHz22.5 GHz2016Core 5 3206 (2 x P + 4 x LP-E)4.6 GHz22.5 GHz2016Core 5 3156 (2 x P + 4 x LP-E)4.4 GHz22.3 GHz1815Core 3 3045 (1 x P + 4 x LP-E)4.3 GHz12.3 GHz2.315So what can we expect from Beelink’s Wildcat Lake mini PCs?The Beeelink EQ mini is a 112 x 112 x 37mm (4.4″ x 4.4″ x 1.5″) small blue box with LPDDR5 onboard memory, UFS 3.1 storage, and two M.2 slots for PCIe 4.0 SSDs. It has two 40 Gbps USB-C ports, a 10 Gigabit LAN port, and a built-in 45W power supply. The Beelink EQi is a slightly larger model that measures 126 x 126 x 44mm (5″ x 5″ x 1.7″) and has mostly similar specs. But this model supports both LPDDR5 and DDR5 memory options, has a second Ethernet port (with support for 2.5 GbE speeds), and has an 85W integrated power supply.Beelink’s ME Pro-2, meanwhile, is designed for use as a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device. A model with two 3.5 inch drive bays measures 166 x 121 x 112mm (6.4″ x 4.8″ x 4.4″) and also features a single M.2 slot for PCIe 4.0 storage as well as a 120W external power supply. It supports user-replaceable DDR5 memory and also has UFS 3.1 onboard storage. It has the same 40 Gbps USB Type-C ports and 10 Gigabit + 2.5 Gigabit LAN ports as the Beelink EQi.Beelink hasn’t announced pricing or availability for any of the new systems yet.
