Duncan Hoorn
Harrowing details of the extent of the injuries suffered by murdered Hanover Park mother Chantal Pasqualle-Hoorn, have emerged in the Western Cape High Court.
On Monday, the State called its second expert witness, Dr Jill Roman, a specialist forensic pathologist with more than 17 years' experience, to testify about the findings of the post-mortem examination she conducted following Pasqualle-Hoorn's death.
Roman detailed multiple blunt force injuries across her body, several wounds requiring surgical staples, and a traumatic brain injury that ultimately led to her death.
Pasqualle-Hoorn's husband, Duncan Hoorn, is on trial for her murder. He pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping, murder and defeating the administration of justice.
