The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have detained two agents of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) who were planning to blow up one of the administrative buildings in downtown Kyiv and attempted to flee to Russia.
According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this.
The investigation revealed that the suspects planted a homemade incendiary device designed to ignite and detonate a generator unit near the administrative building.
They planned to activate the device remotely while en route to Belarus, through which they intended to flee to Russia.
It has been established that after planting the device, the agents boarded a passenger train bound for the Chernihiv region. From there, they planned to illegally cross the border by river in an inflatable boat.
