A pregnant woman, R. Renugadevi (25), who was admitted for delivery died at a private hospital on Sunday.Relatives and friends of the woman from Tiruthangal laid a seige to the hospital demanding action against the administration of the hospital and compensation for the deceased.Police pacified the protesters.The police said that Renugadevi, wife of a police man, Ramar, was admitted for her second delivery on Saturday. However, her health condition suddenly worsened and both the mother and the infant died.The body has been taken to Virudhunagar Medical College hospital.Sivakasi Town police are investigating.
