MLB Names Shimon Hoizumi Managing Director of Japan
Major League Baseball announced that Shimon Hoizumi has been named managing director, Japan, effective immediately. Based in MLB’s Tokyo office, Hoizumi will oversee business operations in Japan and lead efforts to further expand fan engagement, media partnerships, sponsorships, consumer products, events and grassroots baseball initiatives across the market. Hoizumi has held senior leadership positions throughout the Japanese sports and entertainment industry, including VP of rights at DAZN Japan, head of GOLFTV Japan at Warner Bros. Discovery and commercial director of WWE Japan.
Cosm Appoints David Ho as Chief Legal Officer
Cosm announced the appointment of David Ho as chief legal officer. In the newly created executive role reporting directly to president and CEO Jeb Terry, Ho will lead Cosm’s legal, corporate governance, compliance, transactional and enterprise risk functions across the company’s venues, technology and content partnerships and global business. As CLO, Ho will oversee the full scope of Cosm’s legal operations as the company expands across new domestic and international markets. Ho brings more than 20 years of senior in-house legal leadership across media, technology, gaming and entertainment.
