Family of Sihle Makhaye, who died in Russia, to hold funeral in KZN

The funeral service for Sihle Makhaye will take place on Saturday in Kranskop.

The family of Sihle Makhaye will collect his remains in Durban on Friday ahead of his funeral in Kranskop this weekend, bringing to a close months of waiting following his death in Russia.

KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport and Human Settlements Siboniso Duma announced that the family would travel from Vukaphansi in Kranskop to Durban to fetch the remains.

The funeral will take place on Saturday, June 20, in Vukaphansi, Ward 6, under Umvoti Local Municipality.

In a public statement issued on Friday, Duma said the family had requested that the government convey its appreciation to members of the public who had offered support during the repatriation process.
