Assuring the representatives of the AP State Ward Administrative Secretaries Association (AP SWASA), Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA) P. Sampath Kumar on Thursday said that the Andhra Pradesh government has planned to facilitate promotions for Ward Administrative SecretariesMr. Kumar’s promise comes after the association’s State committee discussed at a meeting about service rules and promotion channels.According to the association, the government is responding positively to a proposal to fill approximately 240 current Junior Assistant vacancies in the Municipal Administration Department through promotions for eligible secretaries. Mr. Kumar indicated that the administration would take the necessary steps to expedite the process and ensure maximum coverage for eligible employees.He said that roughly 1,100 additional vacancies are anticipated in the Junior Assistant cadre over the next two years, stating that the Department plans to fill the positions annually through promotions from the cadre of Ward Administrative Secretaries.
