The Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Officers’ Association expressed its gratitude to Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu for clearing long-pending promotions in the department. Representatives of the association met the Minister and thanked him for approving promotions that had been pending for seven years, as well as for facilitating postings to preferred locations.
State general secretary Dr. D. Praveen said the issue of promotions from Assistant Directors of Agriculture (ADAs) to Deputy Directors (DDs) had been taken up with the Chief Minister and the Agriculture Minister. Under the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Minister resolved the matter, resulting in 37 ADAs being promoted as Deputy Directors.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Atchannaidu said promotions come with greater responsibility and urged officers to ensure that modern agricultural technologies reach farmers at their doorstep, helping improve productivity and profitability.
Association president Dr. Balabhaskar and members Boddapati Venkateshwara Rao, D. Ramana Murthy, and others were present.
