The murder case of media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock took a significant step forward on Thursday as the two men accused of his assassination appeared in the Johannesburg High Court for pre-trial proceedings.

Proceedings were adjourned to 24 July 2026, when a pre-trial conference is set to commence, after prosecutors confirmed that investigations into the killing had been finalised.

The matter was transferred from the Magistrate’s Court to the High Court following the completion of an extensive investigation, which included the analysis of cellphone records, financial transactions and other evidence linked to the December 2025 murder.

Stock, a well-known security company owner and DJ, was gunned down near the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg’s CBD on 16 December 2025 in what prosecutors believe was a carefully orchestrated hit.

The accused, Armindo Pacula, alleged to be the gunman, and Victor Majola, alleged to have masterminded the killing, remain behind bars after being denied bail.
