The purpose of the service is to provide "secure, stable, and predictable connectivity" for highly demanding Internet of Things (IoT) use cases for a range of sectors including emergency services, energy, transport, industry, and healthcare.
Telia noted that it has built the IoT service over its 5G Standalone (5G SA) network in order to utilize capabilities such as network slicing, ultra-low latency, and increased security.
