Deputy President Paul Mashatile delivered his keynote address to scores of delegates gathered for the launch Africa Month celebrations.

In a session led by Deputy President Shipokosa Paul Mashatile on Wednesday, a special meeting was held featuring the National House of Traditional and Khoi-San leaders, headed by Kgosi Seathlolo. Joining them was the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration, which is under the chairmanship of Mmamoloko Kubayi, the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development.

The session served as a reaffirmation of the government's dedication to the all-encompassing Migration Management strategy originally presented by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Rooted in constitutional principles and the protection of human dignity, the five-pillar strategy aims to enhance border security, regulate irregular migration, and strictly apply immigration and labour regulations.

Phindile Baleni, the Director-General in the Presidency, provided a presentation detailing the ongoing initiatives to address the difficulties associated with undocumented migration.
