Collector N. Mirunalini inspects the milk chilling centre at Senthurai on Wednesday.
Collector N. Mirunalini on Wednesday inspected the functioning of the Aavin Milk Chilling Centre at Sendurai in the district.She enquired about the quantity, quality, cooling facilities, storage methods and measures taken to protect the quality of milk received daily from milk producers at the centre. She also checked whether the machines at the centre were functioning properly and their maintenance schedule.The Collector also checked the quantity of milk procurement, milk processing capacity, milk sales, the activities of the federation, infrastructure facilities and services provided to milk producers.Ms. Mirunalini subsequently inspected the Aavin store at Senthurai Milk Producers Cooperative Society and checked the quality, stock status, sales practices and services provided to the public. She also checked if the products had manufacturing and expiry date details and directed the officials to ensure the prompt supply of milk to consumers and enhance the milk procurement level.
