A long-forgotten archaeological site on Rhodes was reopened on Monday, with Culture Minister Lina Mendoni inaugurating a Hellenistic-era shipyard, the Medieval Gardens of the Palace of the Grand Master, and a new open-air sculpture gallery – all within a roughly 2-hectare precinct called the Pervola, in the heart of the Medieval City. The site had lain hidden for 75 years until Mendoni’s 2021 inspection revealed it behind a sealed door. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was its first visitor. [Intime News]
