He cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.Officers responded to a report of a vehicle theft near Donlands Avenue and O’Connor Drive shortly after 1 a.m., the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said. The vehicle fled the scene before officers located it and the driver nearby.The officer was taken to a hospital with serious injuries that police said were not life-threatening. He was later released, the SIU said.
