A Toronto-area high schooler has pleaded guilty to the first‑degree murder of a tow truck operator and 13 counts of reckless discharge of a firearm while admitting he had worked for months as a paid shooter on behalf of “influential adults” in the towing industry.
His plea comes less than a week after a Toronto police officer was fatally shot allegedly by another teen working for a gun-for-hire network. That 19-year-old is in hospital after being shot numerous times; police intend to charge him with the first-degree murder of Const. Marc Pinizzotto, 43.
