The Oracle Green team was recently paid a special visit by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Growing up in Langa, Cape Town, Bulelani Njobe's path was not always clear. Like many young people in township communities, he faced challenges that could easily have defined the rest of his life. Instead, he chose a different direction, one built on hard work, purpose and service to others.
In 2015, with little in the way of capital but a big dream in his head, Njobe founded Oracle Green. His first business venture was simple: cleaning his neighbours' dustbins for a small fee. It was not glamorous work, and many people doubted him.
"Everyone else thought it was dirty work and didn't think I would stick with it," Njobe recalled.
But while others focused on what the work looked like, Njobe focused on where it could lead.
