South Africa's Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, has called on undocumented migrants living in the country to either present themselves to authorities or voluntarily return to their countries of origin through official repatriation channels.

The minister acknowledged that South Africa was facing continental backlash over the migration crisis but insisted that concerns about illegal immigration must be addressed through legal and constitutional means rather than violence against foreign nationals.
“The South African government called on undocumented and illegal immigrants currently in South Africa to comply with the law by either presenting themselves to law enforcement or voluntarily returning to their countries of origin through repatriation processes,” Kubayi said.
