CEBU CITY, Philippines — Vice Mayor Tomas Osmeña wants Mayor Nestor Archival to stop most development activities at Monterrazas de Cebu until all required water catchment facilities have been completed and made fully operational.
Osmeña has filed a proposed resolution urging Archival to issue a cease-and-desist order (CDO) covering all development activities of the Monterrazas property, except works directly related to the construction of water catchments and other flood-mitigation facilities.
The proposal, which the Cebu City Council is expected to tackle during its regular session on June 16, seeks to suspend ongoing development until all water catchments have been completed and are operational.
