The National Lok Adalat organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Saturday (June 13, 2026) settled 3,198 cases through mutual compromise, resulting in settlements worth ₹28.40 crore. A total of 3,490 cases were taken up for consideration.The Lok Adalat was inaugurated by S. Sameena, Principal District Judge and Chairperson of the Erode DLSA, in the presence of V. Sree Vidhya, Chief Judicial Magistrate; R. Srividhya, Secretary, DLSA, and Senior Civil Judge; and other judicial officers.Among the motor accident claim cases settled, compensation of ₹47.50 lakh was awarded to the family of a deceased victim, while another claimant received ₹33.50 lakh. The compensation cheques were distributed by Ms. Sameena.Advocates and revenue officials participated in the proceedings. The DLSA said the Lok Adalat facilitated the speedy and amicable resolution of pending disputes, providing relief to litigants while reducing the burden on courts.
