Cases involving a total settlement amount of about ₹1.06 crore were resolved during the National Lok Adalat held at the Integrated District Court Complex in Mayiladuthurai on Saturday.

According to an official release, the Lok Adalat was organised under the guidance of the National Legal Services Authority and the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority.

The event was conducted under the leadership of L.S. Sathiyamurthy, Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority.

District Collector H. S. Srikanth, who participated as the chief guest, said Lok Adalats help expedite the disposal of pending cases through amicable settlement.

District Superintendent of Police G. Stalin addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of the Lok Adalat system in providing accessible and speedy justice to the public.
